This two-day training provides Employers with practical guidance and tools in establishing systems to implement the Employer Pays Model, and developing effective controls to mitigate risks of excessive recruitment fees in the recruitment and employment of foreign migrant workers.
The training also equips Employers with knowledge and skills in setting up systems and conducting Due Diligence assessments to effectively manage labor agencies and recruitment partners’ compliance to labor.
This training is an intensive three-day course that offers an in-depth and comprehensive curriculum on auditor training, including a full case study.
This interactive workshop for lead auditors simulates an onsite investigation of onsite labor conditions, forced labor indicators, & ethical recruitment. Through lecture, discussion, group work, and role play, participants replicate assessment activities (interspersed with instructor-led presentations and discussion).
This course introduces critical aspects of responsible recruitment and the employment of foreign migrant workers, emphasizing standards and compliance benchmarks.
Participants will gain an understanding of the various manifestations of forced labor risks, particularly focusing on the 11 indicators outlined by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The course further explores the associated risks posed by labor recruiters and labor contracting systems and encourages a proactive approach, through practical examples, towards ensuring the well-being and fair treatment of migrant workers within the global workforce.
The CARP Consultation provides support to Suppliers to address findings identified during the assessment.
Given the complexity and entrenched nature of problems (with for example, recruitment fees or other Forced Labor Indicators), longer term, more intense support for suppliers during the corrective action process is often key to ensure long-term, sustainable improvement.
